The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 从抖音里只能看到故事，花两个小时才能看到“电影”，表演、节奏、配乐都在线，人物塑造也很成功，配角也都挺出彩，以及从写邮件客诉到向FBI报案，到法庭出席，最后给到邮政局案件处理页面的特写，可以感受到美国真的是一个有很多paperwork的国家，也是蛮有趣的。除此之外，还想起之前在台湾的时候，每年下半年就会到院线狂看美国电影的经历，因为疫情影响，最近这两年进电影院的次数也是屈指可数了。
法治国家就是好啊，漏洞被人利用了，遭受了损失，还要承担这份损失，比如ATM机自己出错，给钱，就是银行承担责任，那些排队利用的人，得利。优惠卷还真是个好东西啊。女主是不是有点对眼儿？？哈

把那么另类有趣的亚当斯一家，整得如此大众且乏味，真是叫人大跌眼镜。
“自制假优惠券案”为真实原型改编，双主线搭档模式的《猫鼠游戏》，笑点也就偷取倒卖优惠券，疯狂买买买洗钱，结果帮手黑客早已经借着空壳公司洗好了，最后讽刺的是资本家为了商标名誉不追究起诉，女主才得以判了刑期11个月。全片发展过于平坦看爽文的感觉，幽默元素也很少，真是胖子保罗撑起了整部戏
才知道这个爸爸是Oscar daddy配音的 妈妈是Theron女神配音的 这部故事不咋有趣 大峡谷还是很值得一去的 回想起来当时吃土也值了
亚当斯的配乐一向不错 赞啊 可惜这部有点偏低龄化了 不够暗黑不够哥特
咸鱼翻身的另类案例，片子风格适当轻松，人物演绎很有特点，导演剧情节奏把握很好，片子看的很喜欢，赞！

能超越王千源饰演人物形象的人的确不多，但韩国也不是没有好演员，李政宰，河正宇，黄政民…哪一个演反一都比这样好啊

全程還挺緊張的！原版沒看過，打算看一看對比一下。老黃演技依然爆炸！綁匪的選角讓人很不舒服，很成功。
