The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 对于电竞不吹捧、不亵渎，真实的表现出电竞的残酷一面，比打着“推广电竞”旗号、实则还是甜宠磕糖、男女CP，将游戏世界粉饰得如童话般美好的那类电竞偶像剧，要更有现实意义得多。
画面很有质感，游戏界面的还原度挺高，整体剧情有多次反转推进，比较惊艳。
以为是游戏公司割韭菜的烂片，没想到居然没垮。
如果身边有对电竞感兴趣的朋友，那我建议他来看看这部《硬汉枪神》，来看看这些玩游戏的人是怎么在线上线下两重世界里有血有肉地在生活，是怎么不断在虚拟的世界中流淌真实的汗水以获得尊严。即使游戏给了你飞天遁地的能力，若想赢，你要战胜的东西只会比现实更多，当然最大的敌人依然是你自己。
网大里面算不错完整的剧本，游戏场面和设计也不错，就是屌丝男逆袭、父子比较俗套（但催泪有效），特别是肖汉的爱情线太多余也突兀尴尬，还不如写四人之间队友和生活中友情间仗义相互扶持
虽然我没有玩过吃鸡……但是依然有点儿沸腾……
剧情是比较俗套的屌丝逆袭，游戏竞技和亲情线是主线，掺杂了点点爱情线，但最亮眼是让电影中的人物进入到游戏场景中，而且还原度和竞技性非常强，几场战斗都非常可圈可点，这种程度的还原需要花很大的心思和细节的打磨。虽然不怎么玩吃鸡游戏，也能感受到那种对公平竞技的激情和热爱，最后的平底锅之战更是经典，主角获得胜利，配角虽败犹荣，这才是真正的竞技。

国产片最大的问题就是剧本，故事不会讲人物也不会写。反常理的悬浮设定给屌丝男圆个白日梦美其名曰“热血”，行为幼稚逻辑不通所有关系都简单化，真不如花两小时在斗鱼看直播。
最后的平底锅绝了哈哈哈哈，其实是可以上院线的电影👍
笑中带泪，把我这个从没玩过游戏的女生都看哭了~亲情戏和友情戏满分。开篇就能看出来导演是运镜大师，整个片子的色调也是暖暖的，把我对电竞题材的好感度拉满了
本来一个很容易拍烂的题材拍的还不错，虽然剧情很俗套。这完成了我小学想拍的题材
全片就是由各种老套路组成，“咸鱼翻身”、“前妻夺子、“追飞机失败人却没走”、“假叛变翻转”，等等。但是电影本身的完成度实在是太高了，虽然没新意，但是就像流水线上的精品，就算没有100分的华丽，80分的优秀还是有的。因此电影给4星，网大能拍出这个水平，多奖励1星。

如果不是最后热血了一把就只能2星了…非要把中年危机和电竞联系起来…除非是策略型游戏否则年龄大可不是优势…哪怕你说是几个想搞大事情的小鬼头都比中年大叔可信…对~就是主角儿子如果是真正的主角，他爹只是替身反而会更有意思！中年危机不适合这片子，资本控制老套了，搞成更纯粹的热血喜剧会更有趣~
游戏画面内容部分还原度很高，其他剧情方面就很拉夸了。
被片名耽误、被题材误导、被平台制约的一部片子无疑了，能把“吃鸡”融合的这么不错，确实是意外的好看了，剧情比较合理，节奏也流畅，然后还有点儿燃，你说说，团队是不有些东西。
远远超出期待，这是我看过大陆地区最棒的网大了，让我一个从来不玩吃鸡的非游戏迷都看得热血沸腾，虽然剧情一如既往的俗套，各种不合逻辑的情节bug，但依然掩饰不了超强的游戏代入感，仿佛身临其境，跟男主一起冲锋陷阵去了。 另外电影里对为啥喜欢玩游戏的原因作了很好的诠释，说的真挺对的。 ps:没想到女主谭晓凡是济宁人啊，我还以为是孟美岐演的，长得太像了，哈哈。
最后一段两人单挑还是很热血的，肖汉最后应该跟爸爸在一起的，两人多合适
