The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 剥开音乐剧的壳，内核就是个三十岁焦虑的故事，不是粉丝，没有共鸣。
才华的绽放在死亡之时最渺小，却在之后盛开。

7.5分。电影没那么完美，但还是让我共情了。开始看得有点迷惑，看到后面才明白是主角的同名话剧讲述自己第一部音乐剧诞生和失败的过程，话剧和现实形成鲜明的对比。失败过后继续努力写下去，在功成名就的前一天突然死去，真是悲剧人生。(最后加菲那笑容让人难过……想到原型的人生……)
百老汇音乐剧这玩意应该是西方戏剧文化的衍变产物，看不懂，不过豆瓣分数一直都超高，大概有一些流行的附魅因素。
歌不好听，剧情也尬，演员脸上塞满了各种情绪，挺齁的

懂了，我离灵感乍现梦想成真就差学会游泳了，明天就去游。加菲是我能get到的那种带着聪明劲儿的帅气，加上手长脚长，演得挺有说服力。歌好听，用一出戏来串场也很美好。人到后来才发现，一生的导演演员观众，都是自己罢了。幕拉开的时候没有人是准备好的，天才也一样。而落幕的时候，所有人都觉得不够。
天啊好平庸，林漫威真的不会导电影，越是想把电影做成电影化，那些元素就越是和歌舞不搭
对于歌舞片来说，歌好听，就成功80%了，加上剧情不错，人生短暂，为梦而拼
